Travel Soccer

Player assessments for the travel teams will be held in late June and early July. Younger teams are formed in August. Older teams are formed in October. The outdoor fall travel season begins in early September and runs through October. Indoor practices and games start in November and run through April. The spring travel season begins in late April and runs through June. Parents have the choice of what season their children participate in.

The Club typically sponsors approximately 10 – 15 teams through the indoor and outdoor seasons. Age divisions for both boys and girls range from Under 8 to Under 18. Roster sizes are determined by CDYSL.

U8 Coed Teams

Birth Years: 2017, 2016

Our U8 level is intended to teach the basics of the game in a fun and friendly environment. The U8 age group traditionally does not play in the Fall League, but the coaches may choose to participate if they so desire and/or hold a weekly practice. Once the winter indoor season begins practices will take place once a week and it is encouraged that teams participate in the Winter Indoor Sessions to begin competing in games and continue game competition by participating in the CDYSL Spring League.

U10 Boys and U10 Girls

Birth Years: 2015, 2014

Our U10 levels include coaching instruction that targets individual skill building in conjunction with basic tactical concepts. In the fall and winter players will be trained in an equal, academy style environment. Players are expected to play in the Fall League and Winter League (indoor). In the event of multiple teams, the teams will be created with a goal of equal ability. Upon transitioning to the Spring Outdoor CDYSL season, teams will be restructured based on ability. When there are enough players to form two Spring League teams, the teams will be made based on skill and ability to form a higher level team and a lower level team. When there are enough players to form three teams, a higher level team along with two equal lower level teams will be formed. The formation of these teams will be done using information gathered from the tryouts along with input from the coaches taking into account player performance during the Fall and Winter with final approval coming from the Technical Directors and VP of Coaching.

U12 Boys and U12 Girls

Birth Years: 2013, 2012

At this level we understand players are looking for more competitive play. Teams will be formed based on skill. Participation at practice and games is at a higher commitment than our younger ages. Practices will be held twice a week and teams have the expectation to participate in the Fall League, Winter Indoor Sessions, Spring CDYSL League, and tournaments. Teams will be created based off of the tryout evaluation process. When there are enough players to form two teams, the teams will be made based on skill and ability to form a higher level team and a lower level team. When there are enough players to form three teams, a higher level team along with two equal lower level teams will be formed. The formation of these teams will be done with input from the coaches and approval from the Technical Directors and VP of Coaching. As players continue to develop through the fall and winter coaches could recommend, with approval from the Technical Directors and VP of Coaching, if players should move teams based on their performance and availability/team commitment prior to the CDYSL Spring Season starting.

U14 Boys and U14 Girls

Birth Years: 2011, 2010

U16 Boys and U16 Girls

Birth Years: 2009, 2008

U18 Boys and U18 Girls

Birth Years: 2007, 2006

At these levels our players want to play competitively and are committed to bringing their skills to the next level. The U14 – U18 age groups do not play travel in the fall since players are encouraged to play on their school teams and to make that their soccer priority. Once the winter indoor season begins it is expected players will participate in both practices and games. Teams will be formed based on skill. If there are enough players to form more than one team please refer to the team formation information found in the U12 section.
